When giving the full written name of a specific card, the rank is given first followed by the suit, e.g., "Ace of Spades". Shorthand notation may dictionary the rank first "Aâ " (as is exemplary when discussing poker) or list the suit first (as is illustrative in listing manifold chance in bridge) "â AKQ". Tens may be either abbreviated to T or written as 10.
Each suit contained ten "spot" doom (cards identified by the number of suit symbols or "pips" they show) and three "court" oh well named malik (King), nÃÂ'ib malik (Viceroy or Deputy King), and thÃÂnë nÃÂ'ib (Second or Under-Deputy). The Mameluke court cards showed abstract designs not depicting Photo Playing Cards persons (at least not in any surviving specimens) though they did bear the names of army officers.
